ElderLink is a place to gather with other congregational leaders to tackle some of society’s most pressing issues. Through it, we seek to equip, encourage, and connect those who serve as church leaders, through collaborative relationships, informative resources, and shared learning opportunities.
In Atlanta, our theme will be “Navigating Difference: Finding Harmony in Christ.” The Churches of Christ have a beautiful tradition of singing together in four-part harmony, but we often find it challenging to live and worship together. The reasons for this are many, and they include differences among us in terms of gender, race, ethnicity, theology, and biblical interpretation – just to name a few! Add to that the cultural forces that are pushing us apart from one another in the broader world, and we have a huge challenge for church leaders. During our time together, we will engage this topic using Scripture, song, and conversation to help provide you with resources, strategies, and vision as you lead your congregation.
All church leaders are welcome, including elders, deacons, ministers, staff, ministry volunteers, and spouses of leaders.
