Introducing Ashley Lankford

We are pleased to announce that Ashley Lankford has joined the Siburt Institute team as our online content manager.

In this role, Ashley will play an integral part in multiple aspects of the Siburt Institute’s work. As many organizations know, having an up-to-date, informative, and helpful online presence is a crucial part of any kind of communication in the 21st century. Ashley will maintain our website and lead the work of managing the content contained therein, from our downloadable resources to our event pages to the various tools that our website houses. She will also be in charge of our social media channels—Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube—thus helping us stay connected with you across many platforms. Her work also extends to our Mosaic blog, where she will interface with authors and ensure that the technology delivers their ideas to you. And finally, she will work with other Siburt personnel to lead our email campaigns, including both our monthly newsletter and other, more specific messaging efforts. Be on the lookout for all of these, plus new initiatives and media as they make their appearance under Ashley’s leadership!

Ashley Lankford

Ashley is no stranger to the kind of work we do in the Siburt Institute; in fact, she is exceptionally well-suited for it! She has served in church ministry work, leading the children’s ministry at the Northwest Church of Christ in San Antonio, Texas, for the last 3 1/2 years. Before that, she served for four years as the executive director of the Pregnancy Care Center of Southeast Texas, the largest non-profit in Walker County. Her work there included administration, fundraising, personnel management, marketing, and public relations, among many other aspects. She has also worked as an educator in two different schools in southeast Texas, so she is intimately familiar with the joys and challenges of teaching. Our work in the Siburt Institute lies at the intersection of all of these things, and we think that Ashley’s experience, creativity, and energy will make her an exceptional addition to our team.

On a more personal note, Ashley has been married to her husband, Casey, for eight years, with whom she served on staff at Northwest in San Antonio. Casey is now the preaching minister at Cinco Ranch Church of Christ in Katy, Texas. Ashley and Casey have four children: Audrey (a sophomore athletic training major at ACU), Addison, Gatlin, and Millie. When Ashley is not working on online content, she spends her time being a super-mom for her kids and playing a very active volunteer role at Cinco Ranch. She also loves traveling the world with her sisters. God has done some amazing things in Ashley’s life! Although she has faced some incredibly difficult experiences, including losing both parents as a 20-year-old and her first husband at the age of 27, Ashley will tell anyone that God is ALWAYS faithful and works all things for the greater good.

We’re thrilled to welcome Ashley to our team this summer! Her presence allows us to continue to expand our capacity for equipping leaders and helping churches thrive.
