WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 11

ADDITIONAL GATHERING: COMMUNITY OF WOMEN MINISTERS | 5:00-6:30 p.m. | Downtown Abilene

The Community of Women Ministers (CWM) has gathered for many years to support and bless each other as women in ministry. We invite all women in ministry to join us. At this gathering, Amy Bost-Henegar will lead us in a time of welcome, embrace, and reflection as we seek to support each other and grow in community with one another. We will enjoy a dinner of tacos and sweet tea at Grain Theory located at 202 Pine Street, Ste. 201 in downtown Abilene.

CHECK-IN | 6:00-7:00 p.m. | Onstead-Packer Biblical Studies Building (BSB)

We look forward to seeing each and every one of you. When you arrive, please check in with us, receive your folder, and pick up your name badge in the Hall of Servants. After that, you will have time to visit and settle in before we begin Summit in the Chapel on the Hill.

OPENING KEYNOTE SESSION | 7:00-8:30 p.m. | Chapel on the Hill

As we open Summit, join us for this time of worship and reflection as we hear from keynote speaker Don McLaughlin and are led in worship by Stephen Maxwell.

HOSPITALITY GATHERING | 8:30-9:30 p.m. | Hall of Servants

We invite you to join us for this time of fellowship following our opening keynote session. Light refreshments will be served.


THURSDAY, OCTOBER 12

ADDITIONAL GATHERING: CHAPLAINS BREAKFAST | 7:45-8:45 a.m. | BSB 113

We would like to invite all chaplains and anyone interested in learning more about chaplaincy to join us for breakfast hosted by Kasey McCollum. We look forward to this time of connection and encouragement.

MORNING DEVOTIONAL | 9:00-9:45 a.m. | Chapel on the Hill

We will gather for a time of devotional as Jerry Taylor reflects on the theme of Holy Discomfort.

COMMUNITY GATHERINGS | 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. | BSB Classrooms

Each Summit community will gather for dialogue, encouragement, and learning. The facilitator(s) for each community will determine the structure, content, and speakers based on the needs of each group. This fall’s communities are adult formation, children’s ministry, Hispanic ministry, missions, preaching ministry, and small church ministry, plus a general interest community open to everyone that will focus on Jesus’s journey to Jerusalem as recorded in the second half of Luke. 

KEYNOTE SESSION & LUNCH | 12:15-1:45 p.m. | Hart Auditorium

Join us for lunch, a time of worship, and our second keynote address as we hear from the incomparable Sara Barton.

COMMUNITY GATHERINGS | 2:00-5:30 p.m. | BSB Classrooms

Each community will continue the interactions and learning they began during the morning. Again, each facilitator will discern how best to structure the time based on the needs of the group.

ANCHOR POINT, FEATURING ESAU MCCAULLEY | 6:00-8:30 p.m. | Downtown Abilene

All Summit participants will gather downtown for an evening at the 201 Mesquite Event Center that we call Anchor Point. We will share a wonderful catered dinner and hear from noted theologian, author, and speaker Rev. Esau McCaulley, PhD. Then we will conclude with a time of worship. From 6:00-6:15 p.m., we will enjoy a time of fellowship. Dinner will be served beginning at 6:15 p.m. 


FRIDAY, OCTOBER 13

MORNING REFLECTION & PRAISE | 8:00-8:30 a.m. | Chapel on the Hill

We will gather for a time of reflection and praise before moving into our community gatherings. 

COMMUNITY GATHERINGS | 8:45-10:45 a.m. | BSB Classrooms

Each community will continue the interactions and learning they began on Thursday. Again, each facilitator will discern how best to structure the time based on the needs of the group.

CHAPEL | 11:00-11:30 a.m. | Moody Coliseum

Summit will conclude with participants joining in worship with the broader ACU community at a Praise Day Chapel.

ADDITIONAL GATHERING: COMMUNITY OF WOMEN MINISTERS | 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. | McGlothlin Campus Center (Smart Room)

The Community of Women Ministers (CWM) has gathered for many years to support and bless each other as women in ministry. We invite all women in ministry to join us as we close out Summit with a meal and time for fellowship. Grab your voucher, select your food, and then make your way to the Smart Room located in the back right side of The World Famous Bean in the McGlothlin Campus Center.
