UNITED VOICE WORSHIP

United Voice Worship is a bridge-building a cappella music ministry composed of diverse worship pastors and praise leaders from Arkansas, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Texas. Dedicated to honoring Jesus Christ, their vision is focused on “bridging life together” by using the powerful gift of the human voice and, even more, by modeling what it means to celebrate differences and to call one another family. ALEJANDRO EZQUERRA

Title: Extravagant Love (Luke 15:11-32)

Alejandro Ezquerra has been the bilingual minister at the University Church of Christ, Abilene, since August 2022; previously preached for 15 years at Bammel Church of Christ, Houston. Alejandro is a chaplain with Bachelor's degrees in Theology and Journalism and a Master's of Divinity from ACU. He is working on his Doctor of Ministry at ACU; Alejandro is an adjunct professor at ACU Abilene and ACU Dallas. Alejandro is a sought-after speaker across the United States and Latin America. Alejandro is the author of "The Other Side of the Pulpit" and "Conversations at the Table". He enjoys music, especially The Beatles, post-rock, Italian, and jazz. 

 

ANNA CARTER FLORENCE

Title: Wisdom for the Church from the Women of Jesus's Genealogy

Anna Carter Florence is the Peter Marshall Professor of Preaching at Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia. She is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and holds degrees from Yale University (B.A.) and Princeton Theological Seminary (M.Div. and Ph.D.). She is also an accomplished scholar, author, and speaker. Anna’s research focuses on testimony, preaching pedagogies, and creative strategies for communities to engage and encounter the biblical text for our present context. She is a frequent preacher and teacher in the U.S. and abroad, which gives her plenty of opportunity to do what makes her happiest: sitting around a table with a group of people, a big passage of Scripture, and a big block of time to dive into it. She and her husband have two grown sons, Caleb and Jonah. They also have two dogs, two cats, and way too much knitting yarn.

 

ROBBY JOHN

Robby John is a native of the eastern Caribbean Island of Dominica. His ideas about church and ministry pursuits are greatly influenced by his time spent working among different cultures. Robby has undergrad and graduate degrees from Harding University/ Harding School of Theology and is currently finishing up the D.Min program at A.C.U. Robby has served as an Outreach Minister (4 years), youth minister (8 years) and is embarking on his third year as preaching minister for Saturn road church in Garland, TX. Robby has two kids (Samira, age 14, and Micah, age 11). He and his wife Joanne have been married for 16 years.

 

JOSH ROSS

Title: Humble King, Humble Kingdom (Luke 14:1-14)

Josh Ross is the Lead Minister at Sycamore View Church in Memphis, TN. He is married to Kayci, and they have two boys, Truitt and Noah. He is the author of a few books, most recently Scarred Hope, and Anchoring in the Storm. He loves playing and watching sports, vacationing with his wife, and eating Memphis barbeque. Josh lives to be an igniter of faith, a reconciler, and an ambassador of hope.

TIFFANY DAHLMAN

Title: I Don’t Wanna Be a Goat, Nope! (Matthew 13:47-49)

Tiffany Dahlman is the lead minister at Courtyard Church of Christ. She is also the Assistant Dean for Vocational Formation at ACU Dallas, and Program Director for their online Bible and ministry coursework and Church Leadership Certificates. She holds an M.Div. with concentrations in Old Testament and Spiritual Formation from Asbury Theological Seminary and a doctorate in Preaching for Community Transformation from ACU. She lives with her family perfectly situated between the mountains and the sea in North Carolina.

 

CLAIRE DAVIDSON FREDERICK

Friday, Oct. 18 / 8:30-9:00 a.m. / Chapel on the Hill
Title: Do You See This Woman? Debtors, Lovers, and Kingdom Lessons (Luke 7:36–50)

Claire Davidson Frederick is the inaugural director of the Landon Saunders Center for Joy and Human Flourishing at ACU. Before starting this position in August of 2024, she spent eight years at Lipscomb University teaching in the College of Bible and Ministry and serving as Program Director for the ENGAGE Youth Theology Initiative. Frederick holds a Doctor of Ministry degree from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago, a Master of Divinity from Lipscomb University and a Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University. Claire co-planted All Saints Church of Christ in 2016 and served as their liturgist and worship minister until her move to Abilene. She also served as a minister at the Woodmont Hills Church of Christ in Nashville and was an accomplished singer/songwriter in the country music industry for fifteen years. Claire is married to Kyle Frederick and has two daughters, one son-in-law, and three grandchildren.
