One thing that isn’t going to change in church life is the presence of disagreement. One thing that can change is how we disagree. Acts 15 is a reliable guide for learning the art of graceful disagreement.

10:30 a.m. | BREAKOUT A
Mark Hamilton, “Reclaiming the Bible for Today's Church and Its Leaders”
In our role as teachers of the ways of God, church leaders have the responsibility and opportunity to help others live into the stories, songs, prayers, and wisdom of Scripture. This class explores the attitudes, practices, and commitments we need to do this well.
Grady King, “Spiritual Stamina for Weary Leaders”
We are just now experiencing the long-term impact of COVID. One thing is certain: the future will not be like the past. Expectations of nostalgic church life are powerless for a viable future. Being a leader in times of high anxiety is exhausting! You are not alone. Spiritual stamina is not optional, but what does it look like? This session will consider spiritual stamina for leaders to engage the church in life-giving practices.
John Knox, “Navigating the Storm”
You eagerly embraced the Lord’s call to leadership. The future appeared bright and promising, but now dark clouds of conflict have begun to form. A storm is brewing, and anxiety is mounting. As a church leader, what are you going to do?
Roland Orr and David Wray, “Organizing for Flourishing Churches”
As church leaders, how often have we wondered how much our leadership and church would flourish by embracing the numerous and diverse spiritual gifts from God? Paul provides important principles for equipping our members for ministry and, thereby, maturing healthy and flourishing congregations. This breakout session explores, individually and communally, how God's Spirit generously gifts us in pastoring, administrating, and envisioning God's promised future, along with practical recommendations for organizing ministries and leadership groups along biblical principles of leadership.
11:45 a.m. | LUNCH
12:45 p.m. | BREAKOUT B
We’ll offer the same slate of sessions so you can participate in two different breakouts.

3:00 p.m. | KEYNOTE SESSION 2: Phil Brookman, “Making Unity Work”
Unity is often held as one of our greatest virtues. But do our unspoken definitions of this word match with how the word is defined in scripture? What implications might that have for how we lead?
